About Us

Ramcom Trucks and Load Bodies was originally founded in 1987 in Knysna. After just 5 years the company outgrew its premises and relocated to George. We initially rented a 1 650 square meter factory and by 1994 we had grown successful enough to purchase our own.

Our Head office has a 2 650 square meter working area and 9 500 square meters of yard space which enables us to comfortably accommodate the heavy-duty vehicles we specialize in.

I, the present owner, Brandon Woolley, son of Founder, Peter Woolley, purchased Ramcom Trucks and Load Bodies from my father in 2015 and later acquired his second partner’s shares as well. I then Partnered with the SLA Foundation Reg 2016/404641/07 who are the current BBBEE shareholders. At Ramcom we believe in diversity. Our company operates as a level 2 BBBEE contributor.

In 2019 we became proud partners of J&B Auto Towing in the Western Cape with 24/7 light and heavy-duty recovery, run and managed by our Breakdown & Recovery division, ensuring that we always keep the trucks in the Garden Route running.

2019 Was a busy year for us as we acquired a company in Cape Town called Fire Body Worx. We decided to rebrand it to Ramcom Cape.

Both Ramcom Trucks and Ramcom Cape are registered with the SABS as a bodybuilder and with the South African Department of Transport as a Manufacturer, Importer and Bodybuilder

Our panel beating and bus repair division, Outeniqua Truck and Bus recently relocated to an independent workshop to accommodate larger projects.

We are proud have a good report with all the main insurance companies and are affiliated with RMI and are part of the SAMBRA group of approved vehicle repairers. We strongly believe in local job creation and local production and 90% of the vehicles we deliver are manufactured locally, Proudly South African.

We thank God every day for blessing us with the ability, talents and staff to do what we do.

Sincerely,

Brandon Woolley
