Ramcom Trucks and Load Bodies was originally founded in 1987 in Knysna. After just 5 years the company outgrew its premises and relocated to George. We initially rented a 1650 m2 factory and by 1994 we had grown successful enough to buy our own. At present our 2650 m2 working area and 9500 m2 of yard enables to comfortably accommodate the heavy-duty vehicles we specialize in.
The present owner, Mr Brandon Woolley, the son of the Founder, Peter Woolley, purchased Ramcom Trucks and Load Bodies from his father 5 years ago and later acquired his partner’s shares after which he then Partnered with the SLA Foundation Reg 2016/404641/07 who are the current BEEE share holders.
We also became the proud partners of J & B Auto Spares, a well established 2nd hand Bakkie spare part dealership in the Western Cape with 24/7 light and heavy duty recovery run by our Breakdown & Recovery division to ensure that we keep the trucks of the Garden Route running at all times.
We at Ramcom believe in diversity. Our company operates on a level 2 BEE. This simply means that 51% of Ramcom is black owned.
We have recently expanded to Cape Town to offer our services to a larger client base. Other exciting additions to Ramcom is our partnership with J&B. We now offer an excellent towing truck as part of our services.
