Ramcom Trucks and Load Bodies was originally founded in 1987 in Knysna. After just 5 years the company outgrew its premises and relocated to George. We initially rented a 1 650 square meter factory and by 1994 we had grown successful enough to purchase our own.
At present our 2 650 square meter working area and 9 500 square meter of yard space enables us to comfortably accommodate the heavy-duty vehicles we specialise in.
The present owner, Mr Brandon Woolley, son of Founder, Peter Woolley, purchased Ramcom Trucks and Load Bodies from his father 5 years ago and later acquired his partner’s shares. Mr Woolley then Partnered with the SLA Foundation Reg 2016/404641/07 who are the current BEEE shareholders.
We also became the proud partners of J&B Auto Towing in the Western Cape with 24/7 light and heavy-duty recovery, run by our Breakdown & Recovery division, ensuring that we keep the trucks of the Garden Route running at all times.
We at Ramcom believe in diversity. Our company operates on a level 2 BEE. This simply means that 51% of Ramcom is black owned.
We have recently expanded to Cape Town to offer our services to a larger client base.
